CSI is serious about disaster recovery.
There are many factors and conditions to consider when trying to determine what will be
required to recover your systems and data in the event of a disaster. Therefore, we
take the following multi-step approach:
- Because your company is unique, we begin with a detailed needs
analysis.
- We design a proposed operating procedure for data back-up,
storage (on- and off-site), as well as submit a cost estimate for any required equipment
and/or off-site storage services. Along with this proposal and estimate, we can
submit an ROI estimate that includes a comparison of initial costs to your estimated
financial loss for a period of downtime.
- If the back-up/storage procedure is accepted, we install the
necessary equipment, perform tests, and implement the procedures and any required
training.
- We then develop a package of critical lists of equipment,
software, data files, etc.
- In order to provide you with step-by-step instructions for the
recovery process, we write a complete Disaster Recovery Plan that includes emergency
contact information, security protocol, redundancy set-up, and contingencies.
- We submit full documentation packets containing the critical
lists and Disaster Recovery Plan that can be stored at multiple secure locations.
- We follow up periodically to ensure that the back-up/storage
procedure is intact and that the Disaster Recovery Plan remains current.
CSI recommends dealing with disasters before they ever occur.
